As reported by Censor.NET, this was said by spokesperson to the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov asked by a UNIAN correspondent about the reasons for Russian troops' deployment in the Rostov region amid accusations of the Russian involvement in the conflict in the Donbas.
"As you know, we do not take these accusations seriously. We disagree with them," Peskov said.
"As for the deployment of our military units here or there, this is the sovereign right of the Russian Federation to freely move our military throughout our country. These maneuvers pose no threat to our neighbors at all," he said.
As reported, June 17, the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation announced formation of a motorized infantry division in the Rostov region, which territory is used to carry out regular clandestine incursions to the occupied Donbas to support pro-Russian militants.
"The Ministry of Defense plans to deploy the newly created 150th Idritsa-Berlin Motorized Rifle Division on Kuzminsky, Kadamovsky and Millerovo shooting grounds. The drills of troops at the sites are scheduled to begin as early as in several months," the statement reads.
