 Dekanoidze dismisses Mykolaiv region police chief Honcharov, - Tseholko

The dismissal was announced by Ukrainian president's spokesperson Sviatoslav Tseholko.

Censor.NET reports quoting his Facebook.

"The situation is evolving.

"After yesterday's statement by the president [about dismissal of Mykolaiv regional administration head - ed.], [Chief of the National Police - ed.] Khatia Dekanoidze sacked Mykolaiv region police chief Vitalii Honcharov.

"The local prosecutor is to be the next," Tseholko wrote.

As previously reported, Poroshenko said Mykolaiv region prosecutor Viacheslav Kryvoviaz and regional police chief Vitalii Honcharov had to be dismissed.

Even earlier, First Deputy Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Mykola Romanchuk was detained accepting a bribe for issuing a permission for limestone quarrying. During searches of houses owned by Romanchuk's family, safes full of gold bars, ancient icons, antiques, silverware, as well as off-the-book records were found.
