 Special Operation Forces' creation within Ukrainian Army stipulated by parliamentary bill

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has envisioned the creation of the Special Operation Forces within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The bill No 4563 as a whole has been supported by 256 MPs, Censor.NET correspondent reports.

The bill stipulates that the Special Operation Forces (SOF), mobile paratroopers, and the Combined Operations Staff of the Armed Forces as a control body for interagency task forces are introduced in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Relevant amendments are being introduced to the law "On defense."

In addition, article 3 of the law "On legal treatment of state on martial law" is being updated with a provision reading that the above mentioned agencies have the right together with government bodies, military administrations, the Council of Ministers of Russian-annexed Crimea, and local government agencies to implement and carry out measures of legal treatment of the martial law.
