As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated in the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as at 6 a.m. on June 16.
According to the Staff, the ATO forces' positions were fired at 41 times over the past 24 hours, including 25 attacks at the Mariupol, 15 at the Donetsk, and one at the Luhansk section of the front.
"The terrorists fired at the positions in Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Taramchuk, and Talakivka with high-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems and employed Zu-23-2 anti-aircraft gun against position near Berezove at the Mariupol section of the front. The enemy shelled our strongholds on the outskirts of Novotroitske and Berezove with 120-mm mortars from the south-western suburb of temporarily occupied Dokuchaievsk at 10 p.m. The militants' tank shelled peaceful neighborhoods of Krasnohorivka," the statement reads.
It was also reported that illegal armed groups fired at the Ukrainian troops' strong points near Troitske, Avdiivka, Novhorodske and Zaitseve at the Donetsk section of the front with large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems.
"The militants also employed IFVs and heavy mortars in attacks near Luhanske. The enemy snipers' attacks were also recorded there. The strongholds in the vicinity of Avdiivka were shelled with 82-mm mortars soon after.
"The Russian occupants attempted to hit our positions near Novozvanivka in the Luhansk region with grenade launchers," the ATO Staff noted.
Earlier, the militants mortared the Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiivka, Pisky, Luhanske, and Nevelske June 14.
