 NABU to file motion to strip of immunity and arrest MP Onyshchenko, - journalist Hnap

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has prepared a motion to strip of immunity and arrest Oleksandr Onyshchenko, a Member of the Parliament representing Volia Narodu parliamentary group.

Journalist Dmytro Hnap wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Another lawmaker may become a prisoner. According to the insider information, NABU has prepared a motion to strip of immunity and arrest MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko also known as Kadyrov," Hnap wrote.

He also noted that the motion had already been signed by Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi and submitted for Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko's approval.

"I hope that Yurii Lutsenko will fulfill his promise to catch a really 'big fish'," Hnap added.

Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine raided the office of MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko March 16. The NABU stated that the searches were carried out under the pretrial investigation of criminal case initiated into abuse of office during sale of the natural gas jointly extracted with Ukrhazvydobuvannia SE.

Anti-corruption prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi previously promised "an interesting and hot week" in terms of investigation of high-profile corruption cases while Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko promised going after "big fish".
