As reported by Censor.NET referring to Radio Svoboda, activists plan to picket the diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation as well as government buildings in the countries of residence in order to draw attention of politicians and diplomats to the aggravation of the situation in eastern Ukraine.
According to coordinator Irena von Burg (Switzerland), rally participants will also call on the European Parliament to force Russia to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine and stop the violence in the occupied Ukrainian territories and annexed Crimea.
According to von Burg, they will also urge the OSCE to reinforce the Special Monitoring Mission in the Donbas, launch round-the-clock observation, and get the terrorist-held part of the Ukrainian-Russian border under the mission's control.
"We appeal to the European and world community with a demand to step up pressure on Russia, so that it withdraws its troops from the occupied part of Ukraine. We also ask the European community to extend sanctions against Russia. In case our demands are not heard and taken into consideration, the activists of Ukrainian organizations will be ready to go on an indefinite hunger strike," von Burg stated.
As reported, rallies in support for Ukraine will take place in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Vienna, London, Lausanne, Moscow, Paris, Prague, Zurich, Frankfurt, and a number of Ukrainian cities.
