This was announced by Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Kurultai of Crimean Tatars Zair Smedliaiev, Censor.NET reports.
"We've got bad news. Dzhokhar Meliasanov, who went missing on June 4, is now in the morgue of Yalta. According to preliminary version, he fell off a cliff. My sincere condolences to the family and friends," he wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev said the police refused to accept a report about the disappearance of the young man.
Dzhokhar Meliasanov, a third-year student of Crimean Federal University, left the campus in Simferopol on June 4. No information of his whereabouts have been reported since then.
