Dekanoidze opposes reinstatement of ex-Deputy Head of National Police Main Investigation Department Mamka

Former Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine Hryhorii Mamka will not be reinstated.

As reported by Censor.NET, National Police Head Khatia Dekanoidze made such a statement in an interview to Hromadske Radіo.

She said that the police had already appealed against the court's decision which had reversed Mamka's transfer to another position in the Donetsk region.

"We will fight to the end. I'm not going to reinstate him in the Main Investigation Department. We shall find appropriate mechanisms. If one reads the decision of the court, one will realize its complete nonsense. He obtained an equivalent position," Dekanoidze assured.

Mamka was previously dismissed from the law enforcement agency as he failed to complete recertification. However, he was reinstated in the police by the court's decision. National Police Head Khatia Dekanoidze then decided to transfer Mamka to the Donetsk region.

The District Administrative Court of Kyiv has granted Mamka's petition against National Police today and canceled the order according to which the complainant was dismissed from the post of the deputy head of the Main Investigation Department and appointed head of the Organizational and Analytical Procurement and Rapid Response Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.

The judgment states that the comparison of responsibilities and salaries shows that the position which Mamka has been appointed to by the contested order was not equivalent to the post he previously occupied.
