 32 cases of terrorist fire upon Ukrainian army's positions recorded yesterday, enemy's recon and sabotage groups worked along entire demarcation line, - Staff

Over the past day, pro-Russian illegal armed gangs continued conducting armed provocations against the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces.

As informed by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as at 6 a.m. June 7, posted on Facebook.

According to the Staff, pro-Russian militants opened fire upon positions of the Ukrainian army 32 times yesterday.

At Donetsk direction, Russian mercenaries shelled the strong points of the ATO forces in Avdiivka, Butivka mine, and Opytne from all kinds of small arms and 82-mm mortars, while near Maiorsk, Zaitseve, and Luhanske they used grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber mortars, and small arms.

"Between 10 p.m. and midnight, the enemy attempted provocations and conducted fire from small arms and IFV weapons. Later, using 120-mm mortars, it shelled 40 missiles upon positions near Maiorsk and check point Maiorsk. A sniper was active there as well," the message reads.

It is also reported that strong points of the ATO forces at Mariupol direction, namely in Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne, and Kirove, were shelled by the enemy from small arms, grenade launchers, and 82-mm mortars.

"Recon and sabotage groups of the enemy got active along the entire demarcation line, but Ukrainian soldiers gave them a fitting rebuff," the press center noted and added it was relatively calm in the Luhansk region last night.

As reported by the Staff, on June 6 the enemy opened fire 35 times, including 19 cases at Mariupol direction, 13 cases at Donetsk direction, and three at Luhansk direction.
