According to doctors, Romanchuk requires immediate treatment in hospital as he has radically high blood pressure. The judge decided to adjourn the hearing for an indefinite period until the defendant recovers.
The representatives of the military prosecutor's office expressed dissatisfaction with the situation. They say the suspect and his defense are trying to use a delaying tactics.
No pre-trial restraint has been chosen so far against Romanchuk, while the period of his detention expired at 10:30 p.m. June 6 pursuant to article 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine.
As previously reported, Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios said four persons had been detained in the case of accepting a bribe for granting a permission for limestone production, in particular First Deputy Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Mykola Romanchuk.
