Yurii Lutsenko was appointed the Prosecutor General of Ukraine May 12. The Verkhovna Rada adopted amendments to the current legislation allowing a person without a degree in law to become the Prosecutor General in order to make his appointment possible.

The PGO head has already held first personnel replacements in the agency, as a result of which Dmytro Storozhuk, Yevhen Yenin and Valentyna Telichenko were appointed his deputies.
