Censor.NET reports referring to the ATO press center summary as of 6 a.m., June 6.
As noted, the enemy committed 35 attacks, 19 of them at Mariupol direction, 13 - near Donetsk, three - in the Luhansk region.
"Ukrainian army positions near Stanytsia Luhanska (the Luhansk region) came under IFV, heavy machine gun, and grenade launcher fire, while militants used an anti-aircraft gun in the vicinity of Novozvanivka," the report notes.
As noted, the situation was strained in the Donetsk direction near Avdiivka, Opytne, Pisky, Butivka mine, Maiorsk, Myronivskyi, and Luhanske, where Russian mercenaries employed not only small arms, heavy machine guns, and grenade launchers, but also mortars of different calibre. Moreover, militants fired a self-propelled howitzer (40 rounds) in the vicinity of Yasnobrodivka.
"At around 9:30 p.m., an enemy subversive group of up to 10 people made an attempt to pass along the railway near the Maiorsk station where it came across an observation post. Our soldiers opened fire. Militants were forced to retreat under cover of 120-mm mortar fire," the Staff reports.
In addition, Ukrainian army positions near Pavlopil (the Mariupol direction) came under a mortar attack. The same weaponry was employed to hit the ATO forces' strong points near Krasnohorivka three times over the past 24 hours: "Using small arms, heavy machine guns, and various types of grenade launchers, militants struck our positions positions near Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne, and Lebedynske. In some cases, Ukrainian soldiers returned fire."
