 First Deputy Mykolaiv Governor Romanchuk suspended from office over bribery

Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vadym Merikov has dismissed his first deputy Mykola Romanchuk.

Censor.NET reports referring to Merikov's Facebook.

"All functional responsibilities of first deputy have been entrusted to Viacheslav Bon. My position was, is and will be: all are equal before the law! Whether it is the head of the Domanivska district administration or any other official!" he wrote.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office detained the first deputy governor of the Mykolaiv region on suspicion of receiving $90,000 in bribe.
