Savchenko: “World must realize that Putin's craving will never be satisfied. He strives to capture more regions and countries over and over again”

A massive economic and political pressure must be maintained on President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

As reported by Censor.NET citing DW, this opinion was expressed by Batkivshchyna faction MP Nadiia Savchenko.

"The fact that soldiers are dying in Ukraine while Germany is discussing easing of sanctions turns me very angry," she said in an interview with Bild newspaper, which will be available on Thursday, June 2.

According to Savchenko, the West should not mitigate, but rather stiffen the sanctions imposed against Russia.

"I think the world must finally realize that Putin's craving will never be satisfied. He strives to capture more regions and countries over and over again," she said in response to the reporter's question on possibility of further territorial claims by Ukraine's northern neighbor, which had already occupied Crimea and was actively supporting militants in the Donbas.

Earlier, Nadiia Savchenko took part in the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a deputy of Batkivshchyna opposition faction for the first time May 31.
