Russia's Supreme Court refuses to reconsider case of Ukrainian film director Sentsov

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation refused to reconsider the sentence for Oleh Sentsov, stipulating for 20 years in penal colony.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the court's press service to RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

Cassational appeals to cancel the sentence were filed with the Court by Sentsov, Oleksandr Kolchenko, who had been sentenced to 10 years in jail, and the Russian ombudsman.

"The judge has decided to decline the transfer of the case and the cassational appeals for their reconsideration in a court hearing," the Court representative said.
