 ProZorro already saved 1.5 billion hryvnia, Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister says

The Ukrainian government has saved 1.5 billion hryvnia over 14 months of operation of the ProZorro electronic public procurement system.

First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Censor.NET correspondent informs.

According to him, a total of 5,800 companies took part in tenders.

Stepan Kubiv has stressed that the government plans to carry out all public procurement via ProZorro system by the end of the year.

In turn, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maksym Nefiodov explained that all central government authorities have been using the system since April 1 while the local government authorities and municipal institutions are to start using it from Aug. 1.

"We have accredited eight trading platforms and seven more will be accredited by the end of the week," the minister added
