It was reported earlier that the bodies of two firefighters were recovered.
A large-scale fire broke out at Hrybovytske dump site in the vicinity of Lviv May 30. A waste pile slid and swamped several firefighters after the fire was extinguished and they were gathering the equipment and examining the site. The search operation is still underway. Criminal proceedings have been initiated into the waste pile slide at the dump site.
The State Emergency Service has also published information on the identity of its deceased employees on its website.
The statement reads: "The bodies of three rescuers were found at the landfill in the Lviv region May 31. The body of the first rescuer - Chief of the fire-fighting facility No. 48 in Rava-Ruska Cpt. Yurii Rudyi, born in 1987 - was found at 3:36 p.m. The body of the second firefighter - watch commander of the fire-fighting facility No. 17 in Zhovkva Lt. Andrii Vynkevych, born in 1983 - was found at 7:05 p.m. The body of the third rescuer - member of the fire-fighting facility No. 17 in Zhovkva Sgt. Bohdan Yunok, born in 1988 - was found at 9:15. p.m."
