Former President of Ukraine (1994-2005), a representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the situation in the Donbas Leonid Kuchma told journalists, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"We raise these issues every time, often reach agreement, but then they suddenly drop everything down a hole, as the expression goes. This issue will be tackled tomorrow as well," he said.
The former president expressed doubt that it would be possible to rapidly resolve this matter as militants often put persons not related to the events in the Donbas on the swap list.
Earlier, Kuchma expressed belief that the fulfillment of agreements on prisoner exchange by the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" and "Luhansk People's Republic" depended on Russia.
