 "We must admit that Russia continues its aggression and does not fulfill Minsk agreements. Sanctions must be extended," - Lithuanian Seimas Speaker

Lithuania is concerned about violation of rights of Crimean Tatars on the occupied peninsula and advocates the extension of sanctions against Russia.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was said by Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania Loreta Graužinienė at a meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Lithuanian Seimas, the Sejm and Senate of Poland.

"Unfortunately, we must admit that the Russian Federation continues its aggression and does not fulfill the Minsk agreements, and we understand that the sanctions must continue to act ... We are concerned about the human rights violations that take place in Crimea, actions against the activities of the Mejlis," she said.

Loreta Graužinienė also noted that she expected the soonest liberalization of the EU visa requirements for Ukraine.
