Railwaymen holding banners with slogans "We want to live in "DPR" demanded money from Ukraine at rally in occupied Yasynuvata. PHOTOS+VIDEO

A rally of railroad employees working in the territory occupied by the “DPR” militants was held at the railroad terminal in Yasynuvata. Its participants demanded payment of salaries from Ukraine’s state budget. The rally was organized by terrorists’ leaders who had brought railway personnel of the railroad stations of occupied Ilovaisk, Horlivka and Debaltseve in occupied Yasynuvata.

The railwaymen were actually left without money after the Ukrainian authorities ceased paying salaries to railroad personnel rendering services to the illegal armed formations of the "DPR" and "LPR" in early 2016. They have received no money both from Ukraine and "DPR" militants since February. The terrorists refused to pay salaries to railroad employees despite the fact that they were maintaining service in the occupied territory. The railwaymen were receiving only food packages and humanitarian aid in recent months, Censor.NET reports citing Vlada.io.

The protesters were holding placards with slogans "We don't want to live in Ukraine", "Ukraine, hand back our salaries", "Ukraine must pay", "We won't let a single car in Ukraine".

The speakers addressing the rally participants promised not to let trains from the militants-controlled territory to the one controlled by Kyiv after May 30 until Ukrzaliznytsya did not pay them. However, the speakers withheld an important fact that such a move would likely bring industrial production in the Donbas to a halt.
