 Two police officers died in today's car accident in Vinnytsia

Two of the four persons killed in today's car accident in the city of Vinnytsia were officers of the National Police, who were out of service.

Head of Communication Department of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region Anna Oliinyk said, Censor.NET reports citing 112 TV channel.

A BMW 525, which was driving down the street, has hit a VAZ-21015 taxi vehicle at 4:10 a.m. today. As a result, the first car crashed into a shop. The driver of the BMW 525, a 29-year-old Vinnytsia resident, and three passengers of the car - a 29-year-old male resident of Vinnytsia and two 23-years-old females - died on the spot.

"Blood samples of both drivers (including the one who was killed) have been taken: examination has been scheduled to see if they were in a state of intoxication. Criminal proceeding for violation of the rules of road safety, which carries a penalty of five to ten years of imprisonment, has been opened," she said.

According to her, law enforcement officers interrogate witnesses to find out whether there were surveillance cameras on the scene.
