 Real Madrid won Champions League final for 11th time

Real Madrid were crowned champions of Europe for the 11th time.

Real Madrid beated Atletico Madrid in a dramatic penalty shootout at Milan's San Siro stadium on Saturday, May 28, Censor.NET reports.

The opener came after 15 minutes with defender Sergio Ramos putting Real 1-0 up. But in the 79th minute, substitute Yannick Carrasco scored a goal from close range and put Atletico back into the game.

Neither side was able to score again in either the 90 minutes or the 30 minutes of extra-time, and the match went to penalties.

Cristiano Ronaldo struck the winning penalty after Juanfran had missed, giving Real a 5-3 shoot-out victory.
