As reported by Censor.NET citing Delfi, this was stated by Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murnietse at the International Security and Defense Conference during her visit to Georgia.
The Seimas press service told LETA news agency that Murnietse took part in discussions regarding the security challenges small countries were facing.
"Russia's aggression against Ukraine has significantly changed the situation in Europe. We must not resign ourselves to the violation of international norms by Russia.
"We continue defending Ukraine's interests, therefore Latvia calls upon European countries not to lift demands introduced against Russia and sanctions imposed against it. It is an efficient tool to facilitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements which helped to seal off the military aggression in Ukraine's east," she said.
