The Elysee Palace announced on Wednesday, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"President of the Republic welcomes today's exchange of prisoners carried out as part of commitments reached during a Normandy Four telephone negotiation on May 23. The negotiation, in particular, helped return Ukrainian pilot Nadiia Savchenko back to Ukraine,' Hollande's administration reports.
"This is a significant step for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which should take place as soon as possible," the statement reads.
