Kasko advocates reinstatement of PGO General Inspection members dismissed during Shokin’s tenure

Former Deputy Prosecutor General Vitalii Kasko expressed conviction that Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko should make a decision on reinstatement of members of the General Inspection of the Prosecutor General’s Office who were served notices of dismissal when the post of Prosecutor General was occupied by Viktor Shokin.

Vitalii Kasko said this on air of 3S TV channel, Censor.NET reports

"It would be appropriate if the first step (of the new Prosecutor General) is reinstatement of the previous General Inspectorate members," he said.

According to him, the two-month period since they have been served redundancy notices expires just this Thursday.

Kasko also commended possible appointment of former U.S. federal prosecutor of Ukrainian descent Bohdan Vitvitsky as head of the interview panel to select the new members of the PGO General Inspection.
