 Blast in Odesa house: two persons killed. VIDEO

The number of victims killed by the explosion in a residential house in Odesa reached two people.

Censor.NET reports citing the press office of the State Emergency Service of the Odesa region.

"While clearing the debris, rescuers found a dead 90-year-old woman, the owner of the apartment where the alleged explosion took place," the message reads.

Thus, the accident claimed lives of a 67-year-old man and the 90-year-old woman.

Another four people are reported wounded, including a six-year-old child. All of them were taken to city hospitals.

The accident also caused fire, which damaged seven apartments.

As reported, the blast occurred on Posmitnyi Street in the Prymorskyi district of Odesa around 5:30 p.m. May 23 in an apartment on the second floor of a five-storey building. The apartment caught fire after the blast.The explosion might has been caused by a gas main rupture.
