Case on Ilovaisk is on my table. We will make decision, - Lutsenko

Responsibility for Ilovaisk tragedy of 2014 has not been exonerated from any official.

This was announced by PGO head Yurii Lutsenko in an interview to Censor.NET.

Answering a question about investigation of military crimes and when the Ilovaisk case will be transferred to court, the head of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine answered: "See what I'm looking into - the case on Ilovaisk is on my table. Yes, we will make a decision. Responsiblity for Ilovaisk tragedy has not been exonerated from any official. And I have already decided on simple soldiers.

"I know firsthand, I've visited my son at the frontline, so I know that at war soldiers not only attack, they also are forced to retreat sometimes. They were not professional soldiers. It just happened. So we will review the cases that were like open wounds for Volyn. Cases on 150 soldiers of the 51st brigade, which were accused of the walkout, have been closed. Other wanted persons should come to the prosecutor's office to close the search," he said.
