 Ukraine will take its rightful place among EU member states, - Poroshenko

President Petro Poroshenko is fully confident that Ukrainians will join the European institutions in the nearest future.

The president stated this today during a flag-raising ceremony on the occasion of Europe Day in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We all want to ensure that Ukraine has become a real success story. I am sure that we will make it. I am confident that one day the best Ukrainian citizens will join the European Parliament, the European Commission, and other European institutions. It will be the day when Ukraine will take its rightful place among the EU members states," the president declared.

Poroshenko also expressed his confidence that Ukrainian language will be one of the EU official languages.

"I believe in united Europe, our common home. I believe in united, strong, and democratic Ukraine. I believe in peace," Poroshenko added.
