Russian terrorists’ UCAV again attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions, aside from 17 militants’ assaults committed yesterday, - Staff

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone was tense again overnight. The enemy continues violating the cease-fire deal using heavy weapons from time to time.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as of 6 a.m. May 19.

According to the Staff, the militants fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 17 times over the past day. The majority of attacks were recorded at the Mariupol section of the front. The Russian proxies assaulted the Ukrainian troops' positions near Berezove, Novotroitske, and Shyrokyne with small arms, high-caliber machine guns, and grenade launchers.

"The Russian-terrorist troops continue firing at Ukrainian detachments deployed on the outskirts of Donetsk. They employed large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and 120-mm mortars against our strong points south of Avdiivka. The attacks by enemy sniper were recorded there as well. The militants also shelled the Ukrainian troop's strongholds not far from Krasnohorivka with 82-mm mortars."
