The situation in the area of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) remains tense. Militants continue to violate the cease-fire, in particular using heavy artillery weapons. Since midnight, they eight times opened fire on Ukrainian soldiers' positions.

"After night attacks on our positions near Novomykhailivka (152-mm artillery) and Krasnohorivka (82-mm mortars), the enemy somewhat reduced its activity.

"In the afternoon, militants continued to hit ATO forces' positions near Avdiivka. In particular, an enemy sniper was active in that area.

"In the Luhansk region, terrorists employed grenade launchers and small arms to hit our strongholds near Novozvanivka.

"At the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian army positions near Pavlopil were hit with 120-mm mortars," the evening report notes.
