 "We need to figure out what else has been stolen," - Hroisman instructs to check out libraries’ collections

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman instructed Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko and Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyshchuk to work out mechanism to take the inventory of libraries’ collections of rare and early printed books.

He stated this during a meeting of the Cabinet, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"I would like to put relevant Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko together with the minister of culture in charge of development of the transparent and high-quality process of inventory (in libraries) so that all Ukrainian citizens will be informed on assets owns by the Ukrainian state," he said.

The prime minister noted that it was critical to find out what else had been stolen from the libraries' collections.

According to him, the public members and lawmakers should be involved in taking the inventory in libraries.

Hroisman also added that there was no need to check out all the libraries at once. According to the PM, it was necessary to define several libraries having valuable books in their collections and draw up inventory there.
