 Enemy UAV dropped six bombs on Ukrainian military base, - Staff

The Illegal armed groups continue violating cease-fire in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as of 6 a.m. May 17.

According to the Staff, the militants committed 18 armed attacks over the past day. They have also fired at the ATO forces' positions six times starting from midnight today.

"The situation in Donetsk suburbs remains tense. The militants assaulted the Ukrainian defenders of Avdiivka with grenade launchers and small arms. Our strong points near Marinka were fired at with small arms.

"At the Mariupol section of the front, the bandits repeatedly shelled the ATO forces' positions near Novotroitske with 120-mm mortars. The defenders of Shyrokyne were fired at with small arms and grenade launchers.

"The militants employed small arms and high-caliber machine guns against the fortified positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Novozvanivka and Triokhizbenka in the Luhansk region," the report reads.

The Staff also added that one of the Ukrainian military bases in the rear was attacked by the enemy UAV last night. The drone dropped six explosive devices inflicting no damage to the base personnel and equipment.
