Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valerii Chalyi took part in the Valor Memorial Ceremony and paid tribute to the officers from U.S.CBP and its legacy agencies who have died in the line of duty on May 13.
After the ceremony, Ambassador of Ukraine met with the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, U.S. CBP Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske and U.S. CBP Assistant Commissioner for the Office of International Affairs Mark Koumans.

The interlocutors highly appreciated the contribution of Ukrainian border guards in the protection of borders and maintenance of peace on the European continent.
Ambassador Chalyi thanked U.S. partners for the U.S. technical assistance to Ukraine in customs and border protection sphere and emphasized the importance of continuing U.S. support of Ukraine in the face of ongoing Russian aggression against our country.
