General Inspectorate exposing traitors and corrupt officials in prosecutor's office to be created through competition, Lutsenko says

Newly-appointed Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko intends to immediately announce a competition for posts in the General Inspectorate and implement the law on screening corrupt officials.

He told journalists on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"I plan to immediately announce competition for positions in the General Inspectorate that Mr. Sakvarelidze has been quite rightly telling a lot about. Unfortunately, the law has not provided such possibility until today. The necessary law was adopted today.

"The General Inspectorate exposing traitors and corrupt officials in prosecutor's office will be created through a competition. One of the first steps will be the implementation of the law on screening corrupt officials, under which several hundred employees are going to be dismissed from their posts. The law is the same for all, and the Prosecutor General's Office should apply this slogan to itself in the first place," Lutsenko said.
