Ukraine insists on the presence of an international armed mission in the Donbas to ensure safe and fair election process.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin after a meeting of the Normandy Four foreign ministers (Ukraine, Germany, France, and Russia) in Berlin (Germany), Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"We can not talk about election until security is guaranteed... Therefore, another aspect of our discussion was an effective international component, such as the OSCE mission, to ensure security during and before vote. We need such a mission... We were unable to agree on the key modalities for this mission," the minister remarked.

Klimkin said that the sides also discussed the models of election in the Donbas.
