According to the statement on the official website of the Ukrainian Government, the parties discussed issues regarding implementation of reforms in Ukraine and further cooperation on their implementation.

The prime minister thanked the representatives of the International Monetary Fund for a systematic and fruitful cooperation with Ukraine. "The support, including the one of the IMF, is critical in such a difficult time for Ukraine. However, we also consider our cooperation as an opportunity to implement structural reforms that will make it possible to ensure the transformation of Ukraine from the former Soviet state into a modern European country," he said.

Hroisman stressed that the new government committed itself to the course of implementation and acceleration of reforms in the country, in particular in the areas of customs office operation, taxation, ensuring transparency of state management through public appointments to the top positions in state owned enterprises, improving the system of public procurement and holding transparent privatization.

"We consider the implementation of reforms as our internal homework and the IMF - as our strategic partner that assists us on this difficult path," he stressed.

In turn, IMF's European Department Director Paul Thomsen welcomed the formation of the new government and assured of the IMF's readiness to support Ukraine in implementing the necessary changes.
