 Militants shelled Ukrainian positions in Mariupol sector for five times over past 24 hours

Five cases of shelling of Ukrainian troops' positions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area by the militants were reported yesterday.

Press officer of the M sector Vitalii Kirillov said on 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.

"The militants shelled Ukrainian positions in the Mariupol sector for a total of five times over the past 24 hours: Shyrokyne was shelled once, while Taramchuk village came under fire for four times. Apart from small arms and grenade launchers, the militants fired from banned 120-mm mortars in the village. The shelling was carried out during the day, while it remained calm at night," he said.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers returned fire twice.

According to the ATO press center, the militants shelled Ukrainian positions with IVFs, grenade launchers and banned mortars for about 12 times over the past 24 hours.
