Rada to see three-hour "government's day" on Mondays, - Parubii

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrii Parubii initiates amendments to the parliament's rules of procedure, stipulating a three-hour "day of the government" on Mondays instead of an "hour of questions to the government" on Fridays.

He said this while presenting the relevant amendments to the rules of procedure, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"On Monday, more time will be allowed for work with the government. A three-hour discussion between the lawmakers and the government is offered instead of the usual Friday hour," he said.

The proposed changes suggest that the "government day" be held on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parubii also emphasized that debate with the Cabinet of Ministers as well as meetings with the Conciliation board of Verkhovna Rada deputy factions, contrary to the recommendations of the European Parliament to conduct these meetings behind closed doors and without media, will be held in public.
