Draft to the State Border Service has been also renewed, with more than 4,000 people planned to be recruited.
The draft covers citizens of Ukraine who have turned 20 years old by the day of redeployment to military units, as well as older persons under 27 who are not eligible for exemption or determent from military service.
In accordance with a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, recruits are paid financial assistance in the amount of double minimum wage (2,900 UAH, $118). The funding has been allocated from the Ministry of Defense's budget.
Recruits with higher education will serve for one year, those without a degree - a year and a half.
Conscripts will serve exclusively outside the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.
