As reported by Censor.NET, it was announced by Defense Intelligence representative Vadym Skibitskyi on 5 Channel.
"To date, the Russian Federation has deployed a very powerful group of Russian troops in the Crimean peninsula and plans to reinforce it in the future. Firstly, they plan to reach a level of potential similar to that of the Soviet era by 2020. Secondly, they send there new types of modern weapons and military equipment that were banned from Crimea prior to its annexation," Skibitskyi said.
"For example, the first thing to be deployed there was cutting edge submarines carrying state-of-the-art cruise missiles, with the whole territory of Ukraine falling within their impact zone. They have also brought coastal rocket systems that were not there deployed there previously. Thirdly, both aviation and naval groups are being reinforced in Crimea," he added.
As previously reported, some 400 paratroopers of Russia's Airborne Forces arrived in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea on Monday, April 4.
