The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area aggravated over the past 24 hours. The pro-Russian militants shelled the position of Ukrainian soldiers for 40 times.

The terrorists intensified their attacks after dark, Censor.NET informs citing the ATO press center.

According to the report, Marinka remained the hottest spot as the illegal armed groups opened fire at Ukrainian strongholds from 82-mm mortars, various grenade launchers, and small arms for over a dozen times.

The militants also fired at ATO forces' positions near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, and Nevelske from small arms, grenade launchers, as well as 82-mm and 120-mm mortars from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and its suburbs.
