 Poroshenko officially appoints Harbuz as Luhansk region Governor

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Poroshenko Bloc faction MP Yurii Harbuz as chairman of the Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration instead of Heorhii Tuka.

This is evidenced by the decree No. 194-195 of April 29 published on the official website of the head of state, Censor.NET reports.

There are no additional details in the decree.

Harbuz was born in the village of Milove in the Luhansk region Nov. 18, 1971.

He was conscripted into the Soviet army in November 1989.

He worked as a teacher of labor in junior high school in the village of Zhuravske in the Milove district of the Luhansk region between August 1990 and August 1991.

He founded farming enterprise in 1992, which he chaired.

Yurii Harbuz also became founder of the Farmers Association Nadiia in 1993.

He was the director of the Luhansk regional municipal enterprise Cossack Cavalry Theater from October 2003 to April 2005.

Harbuz became chairman of the Markove District State Administration in the Luhansk region in April 2005.

He graduated from the Luhansk National Agrarian University with a degree in corporate management and qualification of managing economist in 2006.

Yurii Harbuz chaired Markove District Council from May 2006 to November 2010.

He was the chairman of Milove District State Administration in the Luhansk region from January to April 2014.

Harbuz won parliamentary elections in single-mandate electoral district No.114 (the Luhansk region) and became an MP in October 2014.
