 “Ukraine-EU Summit postponed till September. This won’t affect visa-free matter,” – Presidential Administration deputy head

Presidential Administration Deputy Head Kostiantyn Yelisieiev confirms the Ukraine-EU Summit postponement.

He stated at a briefing today, Censor.NET informs citing statement by the Presidential Administration on Twitter.

"The 18th Ukraine-EU Summit has been postponed till September. This was a balanced and pragmatic decision. The summit is not the ultimate goal. It should be fruitful in terms of cooperation and integration with the EU," Yelisieiev said.

In addition, he stressed that the summit postponement would not affect the issue of granting Ukraine the visa-free regime.

"The summit postponement has nothing to do with the issue of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU. The EU is ready to speed up all the procedures for granting Ukraine with visa-free travel. The European Parliament has sufficient political will for this," Presidential Administration deputy head stressed.
