Odesa governor Mikheil Saakashvili asks President Poroshenko to send National Guard units to Odesa on the eve of the anniversary of the May 2 tragedy.

Censor.NET reports referring to his video message.

"I call on the president to urgently sent National Guard and extra police units to Odesa, preliminary provided with everything necessary, including food and a place to sleep. We'll also get involved, but they should be supported financially," he said.

"I also ask the president and the leadership of the Security Service to pay attention to separatists in Odesa as well as the Russian citizenship and loyalty to Russia of mayor Trukhanov and his business partners," the official added.
