EP may decide on visa-free regime for Ukraine until end of July, - Iryna Herashchenko

The debates in the European Parliament on granting the visa-free regime to Ukraine and adopting an appropriate decision will take place until end of July.

Censor.NET reports quoting Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Herashchenko's Facebook.

"The visa-free regime. In the near future, the freedom and justice committee will appoint a rapporteur on this issue, who will report at the debates in the European Parliament. Our colleagues have assured us that they hope for a prompt and effective examination of this issue in the European Parliament," the politician wrote.

"The procedure may last up to three months, but in their view, the debates will take place before that. Therefore, the information in some media about the debates in September is unreliable: such a decision has not been taken, the more so since a rapporteur has not been appointed," Herashchenko added.
