 EP likely to vote on visa-free regime for Ukraine and Georgia in September, - journalist

The European Parliament may consider granting Ukraine the visa-free regime in July, but most likely it will happen in September.

Radio Liberty correspondent in Brussels Rikard Jozwiak wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"The vote in the EP plenary for the visa liberalization for Georgia and Ukraine can take place in July but it will be tight. September is more likely," he wrote.

In turn, Chairman of the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee Andrej Plenković noted that the European Parliament needs at least three months to complete all necessary procedures related to the consideration of the European Commission's proposal to grant Ukraine the visa-free regime, UNIAN news agency reports.
