 "Residents of Zaporizhia region must root out mercilessly all manifestations of separatism," - Poroshenko

In the course of presentation of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration head to the local political and industrial circles, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted that the enemy was active as before willing to destabilize the situation in the region hence the "residents of the Zaporizhia region must root out mercilessly all manifestations of separatism".

The Ukrainian president also noted that the enemy continued sending subversive groups to the peaceful regions of Ukraine. The majority of members of those groups were trained in the camps on the territory of Russia. However, the Ukrainian security and law enforcement agencies successfully identify them and neutralize.

Besides, Poroshenko stressed that the struggle against separatism in the region would not be such successful without the active participation of the Zaporizhia region residents - true Ukrainian patriots.

The president also reported that unknown individuals attempted to disrupt the ceremony of appointment of the new region head in the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration building today. "I was advised twice that a bomb had been planted in that hall and the ceremony should be cancelled, but I said: 'No one can stop us - neither bomb reports nor any other attempts. When we are united, our victory is inevitable,'" Poroshenko said.
