 Pro-Russian terrorists shelled Ukrainian army positions 30 times yesterday, - Staff

Kremlin-supported illegal armed gangs shelled Ukrainian anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces' positions 30 times Thursday. The militants were the most active at Donetsk direction.

This was announced by Censor.NET citing the ATO press center's Facebook page.

"Over the past day Russian mercenaries conducted 30 cases of shelling upon Ukrainian defenders, seven of which were conducted from Minsk-banned weapons," the message reads.

According to the message, militants conducted fire upon units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in direction of Zaitseve, Avdiivka, and Verkhniotoretske from mortars, grenade launchers, and machine guns. Near Luhanske (the Donetsk region), militants applied IFV weapons to shell the positions of the ATO forces. Near Marinka, enemy snipers were operating, covered by weapons of various caliber.

At Mariupol direction, ATO forces in Shyrokyne were covered by mortar, grenade launcher, and anti-tank missile system fire on Thursday.

In the Luhansk region, militants were conducting fire upon ATO forces near Troikhizbenka from grenade launchers of various calibers, machine guns of large caliber, and small arms. It is reported that near Stanytsia Luhanska Russian mercenaries shelled a check point and ATO forces' strong points from the mentioned weapons.

As informed by the ATO Staff press center, ATO forces opened fire in response seven times on Thursday, using small arms and grenade launchers.
