As informed by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as of 6 a.m. April 21, posted on Facebook.
According to the Staff, nine out of the 33 cases of shelling were conducted from large-caliber weapons.
"Neglecting the Minsk agreements, militants were conducting fire assaults from mortars of 120-mm at direction of Popasna, and from 82-mm mortars upon Ukrainian defenses near Zaitseve. It was the hottest at Avdiivka defenses, where the enemy was using mortars of both calibers, enforced by grenade launchers fire, machine gun fire, and small arms fire.
"Despite the serious onsurge of militants in Marinka, where illegal armed gangs used the entire arsenal of weapons 14 times, including mortars of 82-mm caliber, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue controlling the situation," the message reads.
It is reported that the enemy was also active near Shyrokyne, Vodiane, Berezove, Krasnohorivka, Butivka mine, Shchastia, and Novozvanivka.
"Over the indicated period, the anti-terrorist operation forces opened fire 14 times at the most threatened directions with the enemy," the ATO press center added.
