Two years passed since murder of hero Volodymyr Rybak. We will definitely return to Ukrainian Horlivka and name street or square after him, - Poroshenko

Horlivka deputy Volodymyr Rybak was brutally murdered on the order of terrorist Igor Bezler. On April 17, 2014, Rybak took active part in the rally for a United Ukraine in front of the Horlivka City Council, where he tried to hoist a Ukrainian flag. On the same day, he was kidnapped by the militants. His body with signs of torture was found on April 19.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko commemorated the hero on the anniversary of his kidnapping, Censor.NET reports citing Poroshenko on Facebook.

"It is two years since we lost an incredible person - a hero of Ukraine - Volodymyr Rybak. Being a Ukrainian from Donetsk, he did not want to put up with the occupation. Such people change the course of history. I still remember the eyes of his wife - there is invincibility and faith in the future of Ukraine in them," Poroshenko wrote.
